The food is really excellent. Fish tacos top notch, great chips, all really good. Problem is that it's so expensive for the amount of food you get. We spent £ for two people and were still hungry.Leaving this review as I genuinely want the owners to understand this as I love the food but can't justify the spend when I'm super hungry!

Had to try this after seeing the ghetto gourmet review. The beef brisket tacos were the best full of rich beefy flavour and crispy cheese. The chicken tacos where nice but not as good as the beef, also the flovouring on the chicken tacos tasted familiar ,almost like the seasoning you get in a fajita kit.Anyway after scranning them down,I moved onto the chips with jalpenos on and covered in cheese sauce, lovely crunchy chips and very sloppy. The chicken wings were ok very sloppy again which is good. All in all I enjoyed Lola's but the prices are too much for everyday, £ for small tacos is a bit heavy .But if you want to treat yourself once in a while they Lola's.They also do burritos which I try next time.

I always wanted to go to this place when I found it on Google Maps. It's very hard to find a good Mexican place in this city for some reason.Lola's is the answer. We pre-booked the order through the online order system. Upon entering half an hour later, the guy at the counter greeted us with a very ecstatic "hello". I can't remember his name, but his enthusiasm is a credit to the character of the restaurant. The online system assumes you want takeout, but we opted to dine in instead. The interior is about the size of my bedroom, which is probably why takeout is the norm. But the atmosphere was brilliant.Upon getting our food, I was delighted to find that the beef brisket tacos were the best tacos I've ever had. Yes, the portion is quite small, but it's only when you eat them that you understand why. The only way I can describe them is like a flavour explosion. I also ordered the chicken and cheese quesadilla just in case I needed something extra - it was truly comforting. My friend ordered a chicken burrito bowl and he also enjoyed his meal. With both of our meals, we bought a bottle of Jarritos: I bought the pineapple one, and I think he bought the Mexican cola one. They were very refreshing, as expected.I have been ACHING to go back to Lola's since I visited (it was mid-October), and when I get there I'm going to have a feast.
